Next June, join us for a week away in Beynac, a village in southwestern France along the River Dordogne, with Lila Heller and guest teacher Katie Cummins. This week you will move well, eat well and be well. This week is what dreams are made of. We will play, relax, connect with the land, each other and ourselves. Enjoy yoga, Pilates, Breathwork and Lila's unique blend of neurology and movement. Let's delve into Joy and experience childlike wonder. Experience the beauty that exists all around us and within us.
This will be an intimate retreat. There will be plenty of time for group activities and solo time as well. Time to explore the countryside and nearby cities, towns and time to enjoy the grounds. We can't wait to spend this week with you!
THE RETREAT SPACE
Chateau de Bardouly is located in the Dordogne Region of Southwestern France. Bergerac lies between the larger cities of Bordeaux and Toulouse. The area is renowned for its distinctive history, world-class vineyards and picturesque countryside. Bardouly is the perfect home base to easily explore the Dordogne.
The Dordogne is blessed in so many ways. From the region’s esteemed vineyards to its medieval castles; a rich literary heritage to the Palaeolithicpower of Lascaux (and many other) prehistoric caves, this is a region where, once you’ve nourished body and mind, you’ll find many more ways to feed heart and soul.
If you’d prefer to complement the peace and serenity of your movement retreat with a little more adrenaline, you can do that too. From kayaking to hot air ballooning and even surfing, you’ll find plenty of adventure close by.
Staying full-board in a luxurious French chateau with home comforts including private heated outdoor saltwater swimming pool, indoor yoga studio (fully equipped), tennis court, library, outdoor yoga deck and Zen garden. Vegetarian/Vegan based menu.
Your Retreat Leaders
Lila is passionate about education, movement and well-being. She is a movement coach, retreat creator, and mother. Dance brought Lila into the wellness world and her love for the human experience and learning about the body has kept her there. She has taught hundreds of people over the last 20 years and my fascination with this ever-growing body of work and how she can help each individual keep growing.
Katie Clare teaches a loving, grounding, empowering, and rhythmic flow. She creates an environment that is both supported and safe, a space to practice radical self-care and explore the depths of intuitive movement. You can expect her to guide the class towards gratitude and joy, together celebrating the awe-inspiring gift of life.
