How to Restore Balance

"We have calcium in our bones, iron in our veins, carbon in our souls, and nitrogen in our brains,

ninety-three percent stardust, with souls made of flames, we are all stars that have people names."

In my recent discussions with clients, we have been exploring the remarkable power and magnificence of our bodies. We have come to understand that pain, tension, illness, and discomfort are the languages our bodies use to communicate with us. They serve as signals, calling for our attention and indicating that something isn't quite right. It is crucial to pay heed to these early, subtle signals before they escalate into more pronounced issues that can no longer be ignored.

To restore balance, it is essential to identify the source of imbalance. Often, it involves making multiple adjustments. Factors such as nutrition, hydration, environment, emotional well-being, and mental health all contribute to the state of our bodies. Sometimes, it calls for incorporating more movement into our lives, while other times, it may require slowing down, getting more sleep, or reconnecting with nature.

There are numerous aspects to explore in our pursuit of feeling better. Simply recognizing that our bodies are on our side and that we possess the capacity to heal can initiate a shift in our well-being.

Personally, I have discovered that working with my nervous system has had a profound impact on bringing my body into balance repeatedly. Throughout the day, I engage in specific breathing drills, visual exercises, and balance techniques. I prioritize taking breaks from screens, pausing to sit and check in with myself. I ask a simple question, "Hey, how are you doing?" These moments of self-reflection only require a few minutes of my time.

One practice that has significantly influenced my overall well-being is incorporating intentional breathing into my daily rituals. This seemingly small act has brought about a transformative change in the trajectory of my day. I encourage you to begin by focusing on one thing, keeping it simple and attainable, and observing how your body responds.

Truly, our bodies are extraordinary entities. They possess an innate ability to heal and adapt. As we embark on this journey of self-care and exploration, we can unlock the astounding potential that lies within us, empowering ourselves to lead healthier and more fulfilling lives.

In love and Movement,

Lila
