Meet Your Instructors

Lila Heller

Lila is a movement educator, nervous system guide, and founder of The Love of Movement, with over two decades of experience helping people reconnect to their bodies. Raised in Southern Oregon with a strong connection to nature, her early life shaped a practice rooted in simplicity, awareness, and respect for the body’s natural rhythms. Her work integrates Pilates, breathwork, applied neurology, and functional movement to support whole-body and nervous system health. A recent personal healing experience deepened her approach, reinforcing the importance of slowing down, listening inward, and working with both strength and softness. Based in the Bay Area, Lila teaches classes, leads retreats, and develops online programs designed to help people feel more connected, resilient, and at home in themselves.

Joerg Chabowski

Joerg is a movement specialist trained in Pilates, GYROTONIC®, and strength and conditioning, with a philosophy rooted in the idea that movement is essential to living well. Originally from Germany, he earned a nursing degree before moving to the United States in 1989 on a dance scholarship, where an injury led him to discover Pilates and ultimately reshape his career. His work is grounded in a diverse background that spans professional dance, clinical care, and advanced training across multiple movement systems. Joerg has worked with a wide range of clients, including professional athletes and Olympians, bringing a highly informed and adaptable approach to each individual. He encourages students to step outside their comfort zones, stay curious, and keep moving because consistent, engaged movement is key to long-term vitality.
