“Begin again”Â
How Do You Begin? Â
Each day, we’re given a choice in those first waking moments—how will we start? Will we rush into the chaos, or will we create space to step into the day with ease and intention? Â
It’s so easy to default to the former: reaching for our phones, checking emails, turning on bright lights, or diving straight into our to-do lists. But what if, instead, we eased into our day?Â
By noticing the patterns you follow, you can begin to identify what supports you and where small shifts might create more ease and balance in your day. Â
Imagine beginning your day with low lights, a breath practice, or a moment outdoors in the soft morning sunlight. These small, intentional choices invite a sense of calm and clarity, helping you meet the day feeling grounded and present. Â
The most important part of your day to make a healthy decision is the moment you wake up. How will you choose to begin? Â
Take a pause. Reorient. Tune in. Â

We can live our daily lives in such a way that every act becomes an act of love. - Thich Nhat HanhÂ
The holiday season is now upon us. Do you look forward to this time of year, or do you find it a bit overwhelming?
I've always loved the holidays—probably because my mom made them feel so special. I still remember the excitement of school ending, the chilly mornings when my sisters and I would cozy up by the fireplace, the smell of wrapping paper, and the taste of homemade cookies. But the best part was always the mystery, the sense of magic in the air.
One way I stay warm in this season is by doing a daily neuro warmup. It’s quick, energizing, and perfect for these colder days when we need a little extra boost to get moving. Check out the video below, and join me in keeping our bodies active and warm this season. Feel free to share it with anyone you think would benefit—they might appreciate the warmth, too!
"And just like that, day turned to night and night to day."Â
Wow… it’s already November. We made it through the election, and now—just as always, and maybe more than ever—we need to stay present in our bodies and hearts. Emotions are running high, and it’s so important to feel what arises, letting it flow through us rather than staying stuck inside. Each day we’re here is a beautiful gift, a chance to show up anew.
Let’s be intentional about grounding ourselves, tuning into our breath, and finding moments of stillness. Together, we can stay present, honoring our emotions and holding compassion for ourselves and others as we navigate these times.
Now that it's finally cooling off here in the Bay Area, I've started lighting candles at night and enjoying my dinners by candlelight. I highly recommend it!
I hope you, too, find moments of warmth and coziness this season.Â

“You can’t heal in the same environment that made you sick.”Â
What does it mean to change your environment? It’s not always possible to pack up and move to a new home, city, or country. But the environment is more than just the physical space we occupy. What can we change?
 •  What you put in your body
 •  How you deal with stress
 •  Your thoughts, beliefs, and self-talk
 •  Your daily habits and routines
 •  How you move your body
 •  How you breathe
Change isn’t easy, but neither is feeling unwell. Starting small—focusing on just one or two simple adjustments—can have a profound impact on your system. As you consistently shift one habit, you can gradually build from there. The nervous system thrives on gentle, manageable steps. Sometimes, the best thing you can do is the simplest: laying down for a moment of rest, or saying no to a commitment that feels too heavy.
Here are three simple changes I made over the past year that helped me transform my environment:

What Are You Practicing?Â
Each day we make choices, and whether we realize it or not, those choices shape our lives. In essence, your life is your practice. The question I’d like to pose is: What are you practicing?
Are you practicing patience, compassion, or self-care? Or perhaps you’ve been practicing stress, worry, or disconnection. Whatever you focus on, intentionally or unintentionally, becomes part of the fabric of your daily life.
In my work helping people reconnect with their bodies, I often remind them that small, consistent actions lead to lasting change. The same principle applies to life. What we practice, we embody. Our habits, thoughts, and actions accumulate to form the lives we lead.
Take a moment today to reflect on what you're practicing. If you find that y...
I have been gifted with a deep desire to help people find comfort and ease in their bodies. This endless drive for learning has fueled me for the last two decades. Recently, as I reflected on my choice of profession—and even those of my sisters—I recognized a common thread. One of my sisters is a Licensed Acupuncturist and Herbalist specializing in Sports Medicine, while the other is the Chief Clinical Officer for an Integrated Behavioral Health Organization. All three of us have chosen paths focused on helping others.
Growing up, we were told from a young age to “love all, serve all.” This quote by Sai Baba was a fixture on the walls of our home, and it clearly shaped our beliefs.
Much research shows that our beliefs profoundly impact our lives. Are you clear on what yours are? If you wonder why your life is the way it is, look closely at your beliefs. You may find they are reflected in the world around you.
One of the many joys of my profession has been creating spaces for connect...
"Or, do nothing.”Â
Hi Friends,
While visiting my sister in Oregon recently, I stumbled upon a book on her bedroom floor—The Menopausal Years, The Wise Woman Way by Susan Weed. Susan Weed, a world-renowned herbalist and healer, has crafted a masterpiece in this book. It’s filled with alternative approaches, from herbs and nutrition to yoga, and dives deep into what’s happening in a woman’s body during this pivotal time of life—and so much more. Although it’s now out of print, this book is truly a gem.
One thing that struck me the most was her first recommendation when addressing a symptom. Susan explains what’s going on in the body and then suggests, “or, do nothing.” When I read that, my whole body relaxed—it felt like permission to just be. She encourages taking a moment for yourself, closing your eyes, and simply breathing.
We’re so often quick to jump to solutions whenever something uncomfortable arises, eager to “fix” what we perceive as problems. But what if, instead, we just ...

In my recent discussions with clients, we have been exploring the remarkable power and magnificence of our bodies. We have come to understand that pain, tension, illness, and discomfort are the languages our bodies use to communicate with us. They serve as signals, calling for our attention and indicating that something isn't quite right. It is crucial to pay heed to these early, subtle signals before they escalate into more pronounced issues that can no longer be ignored.
To restore balance, it is essential to identify the source of imbalance. Often, it involves making multiple adjustments. Factors such as nutrition, hydration, environment, emotional well-being, and mental health all contribute to the state of our bodies. Sometimes, it calls for incorporating more movemen...

Hello Friends,
I wanted to highlight a few reasons why intentionally working with your nervous system is so important. BTW, we are always working with our nervous systems just not with awareness. Learning how to work with your own individual neurology is key in making changes to your movement patterns and overall health.
Neurology plays a crucial role in our overall health and performance. Understanding and working with the nervous system can significantly enhance your physical and mental capacities. Here’s why engaging with neurology is important:
Benefits of working with your brain:
- Strength Development: Enhancing neural connections can lead to improved muscle strength and coordination.
- Pain Reduction: Addressing neurological factors can help decrease pain sensations and improve overall comfort.
- Injury Prevention: A strong neurological foundation (body mapping is one example) supports better movement patterns, reducin...
“I trust the divine timing of my life.”Â
Today is a powerful day, according to astrologists. Known as the Lions Gate (8/8), this year’s occurrence is particularly special as 2024 also adds up to an 8. This is a time to set new intentions for what we wish to create in our lives, to release what no longer serves us, and to invite in prosperity, peace, and love.
Take a moment today to focus on your desires, knowing you have the power to change your circumstances, plant new seeds, and flourish in your life.
Here are a few ways to work with today’s energy:
 • Journaling: Write out your new intentions and express gratitude for what you already have in your life.
 • Meditation: Focus on the center of your abdomen to connect with your inner self.
 • Sun Bathing: Spend a few minutes in the sun to soak up its energy.
 • Breath Work: Practice deep breathing exercises to center yourself.
Give this 3-minute diaphragm breath work exercise a try before you go to sleep or start meditating. Str...
